Vinylmation Robots to be Released July 22, 2011

They're coming!

We have some exciting news to share: Vinylmation™ - Robots #1 is coming July 22 to the Disney Stores in North America. We. Can. Not. Wait! This series is filled with all sorts of awesomeness. 

The artwork for this limited release mystery series was designed by the talented Disney Artists from the Disney Store including Jim Valeri, Marcella Lau, Enrique Pita, Gerald Mendez, and Oskar Mendez. Here is a look at the Robots #1 tray. We love the vintage effect they added to the box. Nice.

There will be 11 known 3-inch figures and one mystery chaser figure in this series. Here is a look at one of the figures with the box and artist card.

[Unboxing] Animation Series 1 - Young Simba from The Lion King

Imagination is endless with Vinylmation! Disney Artists created Original and Innovative designs on a three dimensional canvas. This box contains one of eleven known designs or the elusive mystery "chaser" from Animation Series 1. Which one did you get?

Simba, the lion cub who is heir to King Mufasa, is taught to respect all creatures, great and small. They are all part of the Circle of Life. When the evil Scar initiates a wildebeest stampede that kills Mufasa, he blames Simba for his father's death and convinces Simba to run away.

So begins the journey from boyhood to manhood for Simba. Cast out into exile, Simba must fend for himself and, with the help of Timon and Pumbaa, he makes a lifestyle of "Hakuna Matata," no responsibilities, no cares. Only when Simba's old friend Nala appears, pleading with Simba to save the Pride Lands from the evil Scar, does he spring into action to take his rightful place in the Circle of Life as the new Lion King.

Our story ends as King Simba and his mate, Nala, look on while Rafiki, the baboon, hoists their cub into the air. All the creatures of the kingdom cheer! Someday, the sun will rise on this cub's time. The Circle of Life begins again!
